An AI system is anything your organization builds or buys that calls a model: a support assistant, a fraud scorer, a drafting tool. AI systems is your register of them. Everyone in your organization can read the register. Owners, admins and Governance Leads register and edit AI systems. A Member can register one too, and becomes its owner.

Register an AI system

1

Details

Open AI systems and choose Register AI system. Enter a name (unique in your organization), a description, its purpose, and its owner. The owner is you unless you pick another active member.
2

Risk profile

Answer seven questions about what it does, who it reaches, the data it handles and how much it acts on its own. See Risk rating.
3

Review

Check the suggested rating, its EU AI Act category and the reasons. Choose Register AI system, or pick a different level first.
The AI system starts in Draft. To take traffic it must be approved and taken live: see Lifecycle. You can register up to 60 AI systems an hour. If its traffic already goes through the AI Gateway, register it from Discover instead, and its keys are attached for you.

Find an AI system

The list shows each AI system’s rating, EU AI Act category, stage, posture and project. Filter by any of them, or search by name. Owners and Governance Leads see Awaiting approval when an AI system is waiting for them.

The AI system’s page

The header shows its stage, rating and project, and the next step you can take. The tabs hold the rest. The Bill of materials on the Overview lists, for the last 30 days, the models it used, the MCP tools it called and the prompts it used. A model your Model catalog has under review or blocked is marked.

Change an AI system

From the actions menu on its page:
  • Edit changes the name, description, purpose and owner. Owners, admins and Governance Leads.
  • Move to project puts it in a project or takes it out. Owners, admins and Governance Leads.
  • Edit risk profile changes its answers. The dialog shows the new rating before you save. Owners, admins, Governance Leads and the AI system’s owner. See Risk rating.

An AI system cannot be deleted

An AI system stays in your register for good, so its history stays with it for audit. When it is no longer used, retire it: it stops taking traffic and leaves the portfolio, and an owner or Governance Lead can restore it. See Lifecycle.
